This holiday season, give thanks to those who deserve it the most. Our Veterans.
Thank you so much for your support since our launch last Friday, Veterans day. With your help, we have already sold enough ties to donate over $2,000 to US veterans organizations!
A few supporters have also shared their stories with us. We would like to share one of those stories with you:
Dear True Hero Ties,
I found you through a friend and veteran. We have two children – sons. Both are in the US Army Reserves and both have served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Our oldest has served two tours. Our youngest son’s first deployment was served along side our first son’s second deployment! Currently, our oldest is not deployed and works for Dept of Army, and our youngest is in Iraq/Kuwait until Spring 2012. Their orders have always been 400 days. I am proud that they have served their country and have been a great example to their fellow youth. Educated in private schools in a suburb, they are not the typical soldier that most think of. And yet, they are among the best. I have ordered three ties, hoping to give them to my husband and two sons for Christmas. The tie for our youngest will be boxed and waiting for his arrival in 2012. Thank you for your entrepreneurial enterprise in supporting our US troops.

This Friday, Veterans Day, we’re officially launching True Hero Ties!
We’ll have ties on supporters across the United States: California, Texas, Nevada, Colorado, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, New York and DC.
True Hero Ties has always been focused on giving our veterans a heros’ welcome and spreading awareness about their needs after fighting for our freedom.
Naturally, Veterans Day seemed the best day to launch the product. We can’t wait to officially be open for orders.
This past Saturday, True Hero Ties ran the Denver Veterans Day 5K.
A team of 10 THT supporters ran the race alongside 250 veterans, current military members, politicians, and civilians. Each teammate ran the race wearing a tie.
Congressman Ed Perlmutter ran the race as well. The team finished at various times, with the first teammate arriving in 21 minutes and 45 seconds.
Matt Newill, founder of True Hero Ties, ran the race in his traditional American flag pants, which garnered even more curiousity from the crowd.
A father of an Army Ranger who was recently killed in Afghanistan was presented with an award for the recognition of his family’s sacrifice. It was a special and touching moment for all who attended.
